The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival gets underway on Thursday, September 15 at 5pm with an all new sit down shellfish dinner hosted by Chef Curtis Stone and PEI's own Culinary Institute of Canada. Early today, tickets to this shellfish extravaganza sold out. This promises to be one of PEI's largest and most spectacular culinary events.

Fall Flavours Festival organizers today announced that its Beef n’ Blues and the afternoon Curtis Stone VIP Culinary Demo & Spotlight events have sold out.

Alberton, (August 15, 2011) – For the second year in a row Islanders and visitors alike will be able to enjoy all things apple at Applelicious, the second annual Prince Edward Island Apple Festival, a Fall Flavours Signature Event.

Cathy Bullied, President of the Western PEI Tourism Association is very excited about how things are shaping up for Applelicious this year.

Red Sands Tourism Association/ Central Coastal Drive, in partnership with the PEI Potato  Board, are  looking for the best PEI Potato Recipe ever … and they’re prepared to pay for it!

Chef Corbin, host of Food Network's Restaurant Makeover, Crash My Kitchen and his new show, Dinner Party Wars, works alongside local chefs Kurtis Ellis and Andrew Nicholson and the PEI Fisherman's Association to host an eight-station beach extravaganza. Guests will be able to enjoy lobster done five ways, oysters, mussels and all the fixings, plus salads, fruit platters, crudites, dinner rolls, smoked fish platter and blueberry shortcake.

The Prince Edward Island Fall Flavours Festival, featuring more than 75 culinary events at venues across the province, gets underway this Friday in Abram Village.

With talent like Aaron Pritchett, Rawlins Cross, and world-famous chef Curtis Stone, the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival, a signature event of the PEI Fall Flavours Festival, is shaping up to be the hottest ticket of the fall.

Cavendish Beach Music Festival performer Matt Moore will be back in Charlottetown, this time as part of the Fall Flavours Festival in September. Moore, a singer and author of popular cookbook Have Her Over for Dinner; a gentleman’s guide to classic simple meals returns as the feature guest at Tourism Charlottetown’s Great Big BBQ Cook Off and Block Party on Sept. 24^th.

Some of Canada’s top celebrity chefs will visit Prince Edward Island during this year’s Fall Flavours Festival, a month-long celebration of local culinary offerings held in communities across the Island.

“Prince Edward Island is increasingly becoming known as a premier tourism destination for food lovers. The continued growth of the Prince Edward Island Fall Flavours Festival is a testament to the excellent products grown and processed right here in our province,” said Tourism and Culture Minister Robert Vessey. “The festival is also a great way to offer our target markets the quality culinary experiences they are looking for, extend our shoulder season, and provide packaging opportunities for tourism accommodations.”

Today, organizers of the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival, as part of the 2011 Fall Flavours Festival, announced that Chef Curtis Stone will be this year’s celebrity chef. This year's celebration of P.E.I. Shellfish will take place from September 15-18, 2011 on the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront.
