Alberton, (August 15, 2011) – For the second year in a row Islanders and visitors alike will be able to enjoy all things apple at Applelicious, the second annual Prince Edward Island Apple Festival, a Fall Flavours Signature Event.

Red Sands Tourism Association/ Central Coastal Drive, in partnership with the PEI Potato Board, are looking for the best PEI Potato Recipe ever … and they’re prepared to pay for it!
With talent like Aaron Pritchett, Rawlins Cross, and world-famous chef Curtis Stone, the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival, a signature event of the PEI Fall Flavours Festival, is shaping up to be the hottest ticket of the fall.
Cavendish Beach Music Festival performer Matt Moore will be back in Charlottetown, this time as part of the Fall Flavours Festival in September. Moore, a singer and author of popular cookbook Have Her Over for Dinner; a gentleman’s guide to classic simple meals returns as the feature guest at Tourism Charlottetown’s Great Big BBQ Cook Off and Block Party on Sept. 24th.
“Prince Edward Island is increasingly becoming known as a premier tourism destination for food lovers. The continued growth of the Prince Edward Island Fall Flavours Festival is a testament to the excellent products grown and processed right here in our province,” said Tourism and Culture Minister Robert Vessey. “The festival is also a great way to offer our target markets the quality culinary experiences they are looking for, extend our shoulder season, and provide packaging opportunities for tourism accommodations.”
Today, organizers of the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival, as part of the 2011 Fall Flavours Festival, announced that Chef Curtis Stone will be this year’s celebrity chef. This year's celebration of P.E.I. Shellfish will take place from September 15-18, 2011 on the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront.
