Fall Flavours – Prince Edward Island is an Island-wide Fine Food Festival that highlights authentic Island tastes and traditions. The backdrop to this festival is the sea of sunflowers and harvest displays that will promise a colourful and memorable welcome to Prince Edward Island's capital city. The bulk of activities will take place in Charlottetown, with activities also taking place across Prince Edward Island from September 25 – October 4, 2009.

Fall Flavours targets foodies that enjoy travelling during fall when the colors are spectacular and the weather is cooler. Visitors seeking authentic culinary experiences, Island cuisine and culture, with the opportunity to experience food from the source will be drawn to Fall Flavours. In its second year, it is expected that 15,000 people will attend.

The objective of Fall Flavours is to create a festival that is unique to Prince Edward Island and distinct from other food and wine festivals while providing new reasons to visit the Island. As the host of the Festival, Chef Michael Smith brings immediate credibility to the event. Chef Michael is an Island original, Canada's most famous chef and host of Food Network's Chef Abroad. Fall Flavours will promote culinary tourism beyond the dining experience to include a variety of agri-tourism and agri-food activities.

The Festival is a project of Tourism Charlottetown. Tourism Charlottetown is responsible for Charlottetown destination marketing and operating successful large scale events as part of its destination marketing strategy. Other events operated by Tourism Charlottetown:
