Luau : (def) A party or feast, especially one accompanied by entertainment. Come and enjoy Island hospitality at the first annual PEI style beach Luau.


Island East Tourism Group and Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort have partnered to create PEI Lamb Luau, an interactive flavours and fun afternoon with Chef Chuck Hughes, Food Network Celebrity Chef. This is a signature Fall Flavours event that will spotlight PEI Springwater Farms Lamb and PEI Blue Mussels. Featuring locally grown lamb for this event will fit well with the very popular and trendy slow food movement happening now.

All accommodation packages purchased in Points East Coastal Drive will be invited to a private reception with Signature Chef Hughes.  Chef Hughes will host a private meet and greet with package purchasers from Rodd’s and all Points East Coastal Drive accommodations at the Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort.
Join Patrick Ledwell and Kerri Wynne MacLeod as they host this fun event. Guests will be greeted at Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort and served a complimentary" Strait Shine®" Luau Signature drink. As guests make a leisurely walk down to the beach on the boardwalk they will be treated to succulent Blue Mussel Coast mussels and receive a lei.
They will be greeted at the end of the boardwalk on the beach by our Chef Hughes and Rodd Crowbush Chef Joel Short as staff offer lamb canapés luau style.
A large tent will be set on the beach with multiple food stations, round tables and chairs decorated in fall harvest “Luau” decor.  Entertainment will be provided by local entertainers The Dylan Menzie Band and the Down East Dance Team.  The menu will consist of a combination of numerous lamb dishes that utilize the entire lamb “tip to tip”, mussels and local fresh fall foods. Wine and beer will be available at the cash bar.
This is not a black tie affair. Feel comfortable to come in your best Luau attire and if you’re feeling limber, you can even join in with the Down East Dancers or give limbo a shot.
