Chef on Board – once upon a time…the ferry was the only way to visit Prince Edward Island and some say…it still is...
Join Chef Mark McEwan, Food Network Celebrity Chef aboard the Northumberland Ferries vessel, MV Confederation for Chef on Board, a Fall Flavours Signature Event. You will be welcomed aboard the vessel by NFL Captain Clements, NFL crew and the Island East Tourism Group team with a gracious Island smile and escorted to the upper decks to begin your cruise and taste delectables from our region.

As the musical strains of incredible local artists float over the water you will be ready to embark on a cruise you will not soon forget. Breathe in the sea air, gaze upon the red cliffs of Points East Coastal Drive as you glide on the gentle waters of the Northumberland Strait. Chef Kevin Boyce and our Culinary Institute Chefs will be serving up only the freshest of Island products straight from our organic farmers and producers, prepared to perfection.

As the MV Confederation pulls back into port you will be escorted to the vehicle deck that has been transformed into a floating banquet hall. Here you will enjoy culinary delights while immersed in maritime culture and entertained by the renowned Rawlins Cross Band.
This unique Island experience featuring culinary gifts of the land and sea is a partnership of Island East Tourism Group and Northumberland Ferries.

  • Oven Roasted PEI Striploin 
    with vermouth butter poached lobster, sweet corn, potato and smoked bacon ragout, natural lobster reduction, roasted bone marrow and horseradish gremolata

    caramel apple rum sauce,
